Message from CEO

Our journey began with a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Japan and a commitment to preserving the timeless beauty of traditional Japanese townhouses, known as Machiya. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I have had the privilege of leading successful ventures, but my true passion lies in celebrating and revitalizing these historic properties.

At K2 Machiya & Inns, we focus on the renovation and preservation of Machiyas, offering them for both sale and rental. Our goal is to breathe new life into these architectural gems, blending their historical elegance with modern comforts. By doing so, we aim to maintain the stunning cityscapes of Japan while providing unique and authentic living experiences.

We believe in the intrinsic value of old things and the stories they tell. Each Machiya we restore is not just a building, but a piece of Japan’s cultural tapestry. Our meticulous attention to detail ensures that the charm and character of these historic homes are preserved for future generations. We strive to enrich the hearts of residents and visitors alike by offering homes that resonate with history and beauty.

Our commitment extends beyond renovation. We offer comprehensive management solutions for short-term rentals and long-term stays, ensuring that each property is not only a residence but also a valuable asset. We take pride in our ability to provide high-quality housing that contributes to a sustainable future, respecting the local landscape and utilizing local resources.

At K2 Machiya & Inns, our mission is to create safe, secure, and comfortable homes that people can cherish for a lifetime. We are dedicated to innovation while honoring the historical culture and attractive townscapes of Japan. We invite you to join us in preserving and experiencing the unique charm of Japan’s Machiyas.

Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Warm regards,
